In furtherance of his gesture to guarantee a happy celebration of Eid-el-Kabir, the President of the 8th Senate, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki has further distributed cows to members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, across Wards and Local Government Areas in Kwara State.
The cows are being distributed each in the 52 political wards in Kwara Central Senatorial district.
Press Officer on Local Matters, Abubakar Bukola Saraki Media Office, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir in a statement on Friday, June 14, 2024, in Ilorin, said the distribution is also ongoing across the LGAs in Kwara South and Kwara North Senatorial districts.
Abdulqadir said his Principal’s gesture is to relieve the people of financial burden due to the prevailing economic hardship in the country.
He added that the move will also ensure that the PDP faithful across Kwara enjoy a fulfilling Sallah festivity.
The media aide revealed that the PDP LGA chairmen are handling the sharing of the cows in their respective LGAs.
Recall that the Waziri Ngeri of the Ilorin Emirate, Saraki, had a few days ago commenced the distribution of rams among traditional rulers, religious leaders, selected party elders, and leaders, among others.
He said the distribution is in fulfillment of his annual tradition to share with the people in the spirit of Sallah and appreciate them for their loyalty and support always.
