Barely twenty-four hours (24 hrs) Nigeria ushered in a news government, the Nigeria Department of State Security (DSS) was alleged to have raided an (EFCC) Electronic and Financial Cyber Crimes Commission’s office.
“DSS vs EFCC: Shots were fired in the air. DSS took over the premises from EFCC Barely 48hrs we don dey see Shege. E cun be like say na cultists dey fight.” Alákòwé tweeted.
This has stirred up various reactions in the cyberspace with various comments and arguments.
“The ex governors at work. They are already fighting back to stall their case. DSS is a tool in the hands of the corrupt politicians.
“Tinubu will not directly stop EFCC from probing the likes of Wike and others at this early stage. They will go through the back door.” PO’s Election Analyst @VoteDefenderNG reacted.
Recall President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was sworn in by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Olukayode Ariwoola, and also delivered the oath of office to President.
This comes only minutes after the oath of office was delivered to Vice President-elect Kashim Shettima.
Tinubu defeated Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, Peter Obi of the Labour Party, and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party in the 2023 presidential election.
Tinubu, Nigeria’s fifth president since the country’s restoration to democracy in 1999, is confronted with economic and security issues.
Tinubu, the former governor of Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial powerhouse, was sworn in as the country’s president in Abuja, the capital city, in front of thousands of Nigerians and numerous heads of state.
He replaces President Muhammadu Buhari as the leader of a country that is expected to be the third most populous in the world by 2050, after India and China.
