A criminal that was involved a robbery was shot by the police in his lower part which left him questioning his masculinity .
Officer Quintas and his crew reportedly survived the shootout unscathed because of the police’ accurate shooting. The police were able to effectively recover the criminal’s weapon after one of the offenders was hurt in the crossfire.
The incident happened when police from the City of Cape Town’s VIP squad fired back at the criminal who had fired rounds at their car in retaliation.
In an interview with the Daily Voice, Quintas explained that he and his team were conducting site visits in the area when they accidentally took a wrong turn into Platinum Close. Suddenly, they were startled by the sound of gunfire. Quintas described how his protector instructed them to take cover while engaging the assailants.
However, the attempted hijacking is currently under investigation by the police, who have also revealed that the injured criminal is currently being guarded by police in the hospital, while his accomplice is still at large.
