The shooting of two males and two women, both citizens of Bulgaria, was confirmed by police on Thursday.
But it has come to light that one of the individuals is Krasimir Nikolaev Kamenov, 55, who was in April put on Interpol’s red notice.
A defunct Bulgarian crime syndicate known as VIS-2, led by Krasimir Nikolaev Kamenov (55), better known as Kuro, was engaged in a number of illegal operations, including car theft, drug trafficking, and extortion.
Additionally, Kamenov was charged with taking part in a plot to smear senior Bulgarian judges and police officers. Since the prosecutor’s office officially filed an absentia accusation against him in March 2023, he has been on the run.
Bulgarian National Television reported that the foreign ministry of the nation has indicated it was in contact with the appropriate parties in South Africa.
By the end of last year, police had raided properties and warehouses linked to businessman Kamenov.
In March 2023, the prosecutor’s office formally charged Kamenov in absentia.
