Controversial Twitch streamer Ice Poseidon was arrested live on stream in Brisbane, Australia, for alleged sexual assault. The arrest came after Poseidon, whose real name is Paul Denino, allegedly got a viewer an escort live on stream.
In the video of the incident, Poseidon is seen walking down the street with a woman when he is approached by two police officers. The officers tell Poseidon that he is under arrest for sexual assault and escort him to a police station.

Poseidon later claimed that the escort was made aware of the camera and that the sexual activity was consensual and legal. He also clarified that he was not actually arrested, but was swatted.
However, the Brisbane Police Service confirmed that Poseidon was indeed arrested for sexual assault. He was later released on bail and is scheduled to appear in court in October 2023.
Outrage and discussion over the arrest have spread throughout the streaming community. Poseidon has been supported by some, who contend that due of his contentious character, he is being unfairly singled out. Others have denounced him, claiming that his behavior is exploitative of women and sets a dangerous precedent.
