Tech CEO Pava LaPere was beaten to death on the roof of her apartment building

According to reports, tech CEO Pava LaPere’s body was found on the roof of her posh Baltimore apartment building after she had been battered to death. Her alleged killer is being looked into in relation to a knifepoint sex attack and fire that occurred days earlier.

According to investigators, the 26-year-old founder of EcoMap Technologies, Pava LaPere, died from “blunt force trauma” on Tuesday, September 26.

According to Apnews, Officials announced a suspect in the case at a news conference Tuesday evening: Jason Billingsley, 32, was paroled last October in an earlier sex assault case. Court records show he pleaded guilty to first-degree sex assault in 2015. Officials said they have no reason to believe LaPere knew Billingsley.

LaPere, who studied at John Hopkins University before founding the business, was recognized for her impact work this year on Forbes’ renowned 30 Under 30 list.

EcoMap Technologies stated on Tuesday: ‘With profound sadness and shock, EcoMap announces the tragic and untimely passing of our beloved Founder and CEO, Pava LaPere.
