An airport security worker in Manila, Philippines, was caught swallowing $300 stolen from a passenger’s wallet. The incident took place on September 8, 2023, at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

The video footage that just surfaced online shows the lady identified as Irency Morados swallowing 300$ bill. She afterwards seen drinking water to push it down her throat.

The passenger, a man named Mr. Cai, was going through security when Marados inspected his bag. Morados allegedly opened Cai’s wallet and took $300. She then stuffed the money into her mouth and swallowed it.

Cai noticed that his wallet was open and that money was missing after he had gone through security. He confronted Morados, who denied taking the money. However, CCTV footage showed Morados swallowing the money.

In a statement the OTS stated; ‘Upon receipt of the information about the recent allegations of theft involving a Security Screening Officer (SSO) at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1, where cash amounting to three hundred (300) US dollars went missing, the Office for Transportation Security (OTS) took actions to validate the information and launch its fact-finding investigation.’

Morados was arrested and charged with theft. She has been suspended from her job pending the outcome of the case.

The incident has raised concerns about security at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. The airport authorities have said that they are investigating the incident and that they have taken steps to improve security.

It is important to note that Morados is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. However, the incident is a reminder of the importance of being careful when traveling through airports. Passengers should always keep their valuables close to them and should be aware of their surroundings.
