In a shocking incident, a man was accidentally shot in the head by his friend during a Facebook Live stream.
According to police reports, the victim, Devyn Holmes, was sitting in a car with two friends, Cassandra Damper and Dontayvious Trent, when Damper began playing with a handgun. She reportedly pointed the gun at Holmes and jokingly said, “You’re on live, motherf***er.” Moments later, the gun fired, striking Holmes in the head.
Holmes was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. He underwent multiple surgeries and spent several months in rehabilitation. However, he was left with permanent disabilities, including paralysis on one side of his body and cognitive impairments.
Damper was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced to ten years in prison.
