At this evening’s house show in Salisbury, Maryland, the WWE superstar and former grand-slam champion was wounded while competing against Charlotte Flair and Asuka.
Asuka had fallen to the ground midway through the match when she tripped over her, sending her to the ground as well.
Online footage show Bayley grabbing her knee as Flair and the referee, Jessika Carr, examined her.
Comicbook.com reported that according to those in attendance, Bayley went to the mat holding her knee. The referee reportedly signaled to folks in the back and the match was cut short. Per WrestlingNews, Bayley limped to the back while being helped by trainers.
She was able to walk herself back, but fans have been understandably concerned after seeing the footage.
PWInsider has since confirmed that this was not a worked spot and Bayley has suffered a legitimate injury. Bayley previously was out of action for a year due to a torn ACL.
