The African musicians and Afrobeats genre are said to be distinguished by the participation of Burna Boy, a Nigerian singer better known by his stage name Damini Ogulu, according to the Grammy Awards organizers.
This compliment was part of a statement that was just put up on their website and specifically thanked Burna Boy and the other candidates for the first-ever Best African Music Performance category at the 2024 Grammy Awards.
The Grammy Awards highlighted Burna Boy’s significance by highlighting his noteworthy collaborations with well-known performers like Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber.
They also highlighted his achievement of having “I Told Them,” an album including cameos from 21 Savage, J. Cole, RZA, and GZA with a traditional hip-hop influence., become the first UK No. 1 album of the year.
