The news of Pedro Henrique’s passing during his live performance has sent shockwaves through the Brazilian gospel music scene and beyond.
The 30-year-old Henrique was performing his hit song “Vai Ser Tão Lindo” during a religious event that was streamed live online from a music hall in the northern Brazilian city of Feira de Santana.
The terrifying scene was captured on camera as Henrique sang well for the audience as usual. Suddenly, he lifted his arms and fell to the ground, scaring everyone in the audience.
The now-late artist lifted the microphone with his right hand at one point during the performance, but he abruptly collapsed on stage.
A horrified audience watched in horror as others flocked to help the gospel performer the moment he fell. After being sent to a local clinic in a non-responsive state, Henrique was declared deceased.
The singer’s record label reportedly states that he had a severe heart attack.
