The 30-year-old Deobra Delone Redden was forced to the ground behind the judge’s bench by a number of law enforcement officers, jail guards, and courtroom attendants, some of whom were seen throwing punches.
During the sentencing, Deobra Redden yelled profanities and raced at Clark County District Court Judge Mary Kay Holthus, who attempted to hide. He can be seen on camera hurling himself over the bench and yanking her hard to the ground.

Officials and witnesses said that a courtroom marshal was hurt as well while assisting the judge. He was taken to the hospital for treatment of a gash on his forehead that was bleeding and a dislocated shoulder.
Redden, who describes himself as “a person who never stops trying to do the right thing, no matter how hard it is,” had previously begged the judge for leniency in her punishment.
“I’m not a rebellious person,”
“But if it’s appropriate for you, then you have to do what you have to do,” he added.
